DC127 Photos Courtesy of Dave Markland of Carvin
I brought my DC127 to the Sherman Oaks store to have it setup after I switched string gauges.

After Dave Markland, the manager, worked his magic on the guitar he told me that he'd like to take some photos of it so he could send them to Carvin's main office near San Diego.

Using a digital camera he took some really nice shots which I would like to share with you.

Seymour Duncan Pickups
The standard Carvin C22 pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The gold plated bezel around the pickups is also a custom feature.
Black, Gold & Abalone
The 24K gold plated hardware against the high gloss black body of the DC127 and the abalone block inlays in the fretboard makes this guitar a real "class act".

It sounds every bit as beautiful as it looks!

This one's a "keeper" for sure!

Home Studio
A TASCAM 688 MIDISTUDIO multitrack recorder (8 track cassette) and various outboard processors from Roland, Lexicon and Alesis.

The advantages, convenience and benefits of digital recording are a temptation but for now I prefer the warm sound of analog recording.

I have, however, begun to do my final 8 track mixdown directly to my computer and put it on a CD so I can get the best of both environments.
Home Studio
Another view of my home studio, "Island Sound". I spend most of my time here writing songs and surfing the web. I never seem to get tired of either activity.
Fender Super 60
This all tube amp is great for both studio and live performance. It's a 2 channel amp which has 2 AX7's and 2 6L6's, spring reverb and both line and external speaker outputs plus an effects loop.

I checked this amp out on Harmony Central on the web and it got great reviews from users.

One thing though ... it's really heavy for it's size. Now that I have it in my studio, it's gonna stay there!
CARVIN AG100D
This is, without a doubt, my favorite amp. With 3 separate and different channels you can plug acoustic and electric instruments and microphones into it. It has built in digital effects too! I simply cannot find any negative comments to make about this amp. It's that good!
Peavey "Transtube" Bandit
This is the old warhorse in my stable. Veteran of hundreds of gigs over the past 8 or 9 years. I took good care of it and it still looks new. That's amazing considering that it has been in and out of more cars, trucks, busses, bars and clubs than I can remember. It still sounds great!

I find Peavey amps to be almost "bullet-proof"
Peavey "Transtube" Blazer 158
Simple little ultra-lightweight 15 watt practice amp with 8" speaker, distortion and reverb. It has decent tone and volume and is great to take to a friend's house for a small jam session. It has the "Transtube" circuitry which gives it a warmer sound.

I bought it as more of a convenience than a serious amp but I was really impressed at how good it sounds for such a little unit. I use it a lot more than I thought I would.
